Magicard’s new Ultra LE laser engraver integrates seamlessly with the Prima 4 ID card printer to become a FIPS 201 certified instant issuance station.
The combination allows government and private organizations to produce high-security, personalized cards on demand – and issue secure credentials across multiple sites.
The Ultra LE’s engraved visual security is both durable and difficult to replicate or alter, including:
- Laser etching
- Embossed raised type
- Laser monochrome printing
- Two-image lenticular printing
The laser etching engraves directly into the
card – resulting in extremely durable cards that last for much longer than
normal printing methods, which place ink onto the surface of the card.
The Ultra LE is also eco-friendly – and small and lightweight, weighing in at approximately 25 Kg.
Available Card Security Options
- Magnetic Stripe – The Prima 4 can be specified with ISO standard 7811 compatible HiCo encoding of magnetic stripe cards.
- Overlaminates – For added durability and security, including standard and customized holographic options
- UV Printing – Ultraviolet film enables the printing of hidden photographs, logos, text or symbols that are only visible under UV light.
- Smart card encoding – Options included: Contact chip, Mifare, Desfire, iClass. Other encoders are available on request.
