HID iCLASS SE smart cards introduce a more powerful, second generation of iCLASS cards, allowing you to encode more data and protect it better using SIO technology in the thick style clamshell card. This gives you more flexibility in how you use your smart cards – common uses include everything from access control to cashless payments at workplace cafes and parking garages.
Ordering Smart Cards
- Minimum order quantity is 100 cards
- Lead time on standard orders is 2-3 weeks
- Additional customizations (like printing) may increase order processing time & cost
- Smart cards are custom programmed items & NOT eligible for returns
- If your business is part of a registered card program with HID (like Corporate 1000 or HID Elite ICE/MOB) contact ID Card Group directly to place your order.

Printing on Clamshell CardsBecause of their thick size, clamshell cards cannot be printed on using an ID card printer. Contact ID Card Group for information about ordering these cards pre-printed from the manufacturer, or print on thin adhesive-backed cards that stick onto the surface of the clamshell card.
