Choose from PVC or Composite CardsThese ISO cards are made from PVC or composite materials, both of which you can print on using an ID card printer.
PVC is the standard card material. Choose composite cards if you want more durable, longer-lasting cards or will print on your cards with a reverse transfer printer.
A note on printing on smart cards: because of the embedded technology within the card, the card surface may be uneven. This can cause problems printing, so ID Card Group highly recommends printing with a reverse transfer printer to avoid damaging the printhead.
Slot Punch OptionsYou have several slot punch options with these iCLASS cards: slot punched for vertical or horizontal cards, or slot punch indicators for vertical or horizontal cards.
Many organizations order their cards with slots so they can easily attach to an ID accessory like a lanyard or badge reel, keeping the cards close at hand for scanning throughout the day.
If you will be using an ID card printer to print on the cards, do not order them slot punched – this can create rough or jagged edges that can break the ribbon or damage the printhead. Instead, order the cards with the correct slot punch indicators and you can slot punch them after printing.
