The full-color ribbon with pearlescent resin adds color-shifting images. The full-color ribbon with a silver panel and dye receptive layer, on the other hand, adds 3D effects. Both add visual security and make it harder to duplicate cards.

The third new ribbon has two uses - with the full color Long Life ribbon you can either print cards with four times the normal durability (reducing your costs on replacement cards), or use the extra overlay to add watermark graphics to your cards.
