The Topaz IDGem LCD 1x5 with an Optical sensor uses electromagnetic technology for highly accurate signature capture. The optical fingerprint sensor allows you to capture high-quality, high-resolution fingerprint images (500x500 dpi). Fingerprint authentication is available for verifying users against their own saved fingerprint template.
The LCD display is backlit and allows users to see their signature on the pad while signing, showing electronic ink under the pen tip as users sign. The device can also be configured to display text, graphics, and pen-tap hot spots.
The IDGem LCD 1x5 includes powerful yet simple software tools and support for the capture, binding, and authentication of eSignatures. SigID automated electronic fingerprint scoring software determines a user's identity against a previously created template. All Topaz ID pads feature a patent-pending design that allows ergonomic, natural finger and thumb scanning from the front of the pad without awkward movement.
What's the difference between RF and Optical Fingerprint Scanners? Topaz offers two types of fingerprint scanners: RF and optical. The RF sensor features active, inductive technology for accurate, reliable scans of subcutaneous skin tissue. Alternately, the optical fingerprint sensor features high-quality, high-resolution fingerprint imaging.
